About Manchester Online Research Academy
Manchester Online Research Academy (MORA) was created with a simple purpose: to make research easier to understand and more practical to use. Research should not be confined to universities, dissertations or academic terminology. It is a way of thinking, questioning, investigating and making informed decisions that applies across education, business and professional life.
Why MORA Was Created
Research is often presented as complicated, technical and difficult to understand. For many students and professionals, the problem is not their ability to research, but the way research is explained. MORA was created to bridge that gap by explaining research in clear language and connecting research principles with practical, real-world situations.
We believe research skills belong beyond the university. Writing an article, evaluating an investment, examining a legal issue, preparing a lecture, investigating a business problem or developing a new idea all require elements of research. The context may be different, but the fundamental process remains similar: ask, investigate, analyse and reach an informed conclusion.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make research understandable, practical and accessible to everyone. MORA aims to give students, researchers and professionals the knowledge, tools and confidence to ask better questions, evaluate information critically and use research effectively in academic, professional and everyday decision-making.
